I hope to go see them. I heard you mention Ian Christie and his take on the Old and "new" Iron Maiden. His book, Sound of the Beast, is worth checking out, and I think he does justice to Maiden's contribution to the early 80's metal movement. He says one of the reason's Maiden got rid of Paul was because he was more punk and they wanted to take a different direction. They are free for anyone in the world to download and play, so you definitely can :) For the sake of sound quality, though, I would suggest playing one of the ones I recorded using my newer USB microphone.<BR/><BR/>If you look at http://www.notb.org/thingfish/date.html where the songs are sorted in the chronological order in which I recorded them, all the ones from The Clansman downwards are with the newer mic. They played the whole album straight through. I though Gangland and Children of the Damned were the most interesting.
